![]() Bracelet A large olivine serpentine oval is the center of this bracelet using 6/o matching beads. A vintage (1930's - 1940's) glass bead provides the finishing touch.

![]() Watch
This watch was made for a friend who recently had her second child.
Pink crystals were used for her daughter, and light blue crystals
for her son. Sterling silver cube letters represent the children's
initials, and a sterling silver heart toggle clasp completes this
piece.

![]() Bracelet
This bracelet
matches two unlikely bead colors and combines them into a striking
result. Peyote stitch with a few minor adjustments comprises the
band, and a vintage Czech glass button makes an eye-catching
closure.

![]() Free-form Bracelet This blue beauty is my Mother’s first free-form Peyote bracelet that she created in the class that we took together. Notice the variety of colors and textures – she put a lot of time and effort into capturing a striking contrast among the beads. Absolutely breathtaking! |

![]() Free-form Bracelet
My mother and I took a class in free-form Peyote recently and this
is my first effort. We both had a ball at class*, and we were able
to get a lot done. The bracelet to the left is Mum's bracelet.

![]() Free-form Bracelet
Just in time for Easter, this free-form Peyote bracelet was a joy to
create. A vintage pale yellow Czech glass button provides the
finishing touch.

![]() Bracelet This bracelet was my first attempt at getting back into the Peyote
stitch

![]() Bracelet On a trip to one of our favorite bead shops, my mother and I spied a bracelet that was so eye-catching, we just had to try it ourselves. We studied the bracelet so that we had an idea of how to make it, and here it is! Of course, we perused the shop for THE perfect beads, and we were not disappointed. The base bracelet almost resembles a dragon's scales, very eye-catching and lovely. The matte Delica seafoam beads provided a great accent color, especially for the beaded toggle clasp. |

![]() Bracelet
This is my Mother’s first wire-strung
jewelry project, isn’t it just gorgeous?! She used a beautiful set
of lampwork beads created by a sought-after glass artist, and she
found the perfect crystals and toggle clasp to compliment this
piece. A big fan of dangles and drops, she worked hard to create a
wire loop to hold the accent beads, and it was a complete success.
As usual, we had a whole lot of fun working on this project
together.

![]() Bracelet This is my first attempt at the herringbone stitch, and I have decided that I definitely will be making more of these bracelets, and probably some necklaces, too. I just love the way the stitch offers a slight twist in the design, it really accents the bead colors and complements the focal bead beautifully. Bali sterling bead caps and a magnetic clasp provide the finishing touches. |
![]() Bracelet This is my second herringbone bracelet, and I like this one just as much as the first one! The striking focal bead is set off so nicely by the red and black beads, and Siam Swarovski 6mm crystal rounds provide great accents along with the Bali sterling bead caps. The magnetic clasp makes putting this bracelet on a breeze. |

This is my debut in Brick Stitch. I will be taking a class with my
mother soon (yay!), and one of the prerequisites is having a
familiarity with the Brick Stitch method. So, I went on-line and
found a video tutorial that demonstrated the basics of the stitch.
I did some practice stitching and this was my result. Not bad for
the first try! ;)

![]() Bracelet & Necklace
Turquoise, black, and silver have traditionally made for wonderful
color combinations in jewelry creations. Turquoise rondelles, black
and turquoise glass beads, and ornate silver accent beads were
included in this set. A hammered silver pendant makes an
interesting focal for the necklace, and a floral toggle clasp
provides the finishing touch.

![]() Brick Stitch Bracelet My mother and I took a class from one of our favorite beading instructors, Sharon Kay, and she guided us through this wonderful brick stitch bracelet. Did we all ever have a great time on that very cold but very sunny Saturday afternoon in March! In between stitches, we'd laugh and giggle and carry on like nobody's business. :-) When my mother's bracelet is done, that will also be shown in the Gallery, so stay tuned! Her bracelet is a combination of blue and copper, and it is going to be stunning! (Mother's note: IF my bracelet ever gets finished!! I enjoy my UFOs!!) |
![]() Brick Stitch Challenge Bracelet
This bracelet was submitted to a Bead Challenge hosted by one of my
favorite local bead shops,
Beadquest, in Grand Rapids, MI. The required colors were the
purple and green beads, and I chose a copper button for the clasp
because my mother likes copper and it reminded me of her. :-) (Mother's
note: Isn't she just the most wonderful daughter??)
This took quite a few hours to complete, and I enjoyed every minute
of it. Well, maybe not the times when I poked myself in the finger
with the needle, when my thread tangled, or when I scattered beads
all over the place. ;-) I truly enjoyed keeping my mother apprised
of every step of the process, and we had a whole lot of fun yakking
about this project! P.S. I WON the challenge!!! SO
surprised! And pleased! :)
